You Tech The High Road

A 103-year-old woman has become Britain's oldest user of Twitter - after she got bored of Facebook. Ivy Bean, who lives in a care home in Bradford, has 4,800 friends on Facebook, but she recently Tweeted: "I'm enjoying Twitter and having my photo taken - and I'm looking forward to Deal Or No Deal."

FOOTNOTE: Ivy is blossoming.

I follow her too!!! Awesome. I only wish I live that long and still have an interest in new things.

All I can say..."You Go Girl". Just to be in current with prescense, technology, and attitude is amazing. Going with the flow of current events, thinking and open mind to change is why she is still going.

Smiles,
Sonia ;)

Bless her. She is doing better than me as I don't bother with either!

Now that's the way to be when you're 103! I just look her up on facebook.

Great story. 103 eh! Nice age. Transferred a 101 year old man yesterday in the ambulance - he didn't look a day older than 70! Must have chosen his parents carefully!

So does this mean that Twitter is one of the secrets to longevity?

There is a man in the assisted living apartment where my dad resides. He's 103 and plays the stock market daily. I guess we can only hope to be such bright lights as these centenarians.
