Plum Post

The Fruit Of Their Labour

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

I was photographing these plums yesterday, just because the sunlight was so strong on their crimson surface. I was also entranced by the range of green across the leaves, when I noticed what seemed to be an odd-shaped plum. Take a look at this frame below and you'll see what intrigued me. Is it a mutant fruit? Or is this quite normal in the case of an improperly developed plum?

David- regardless of what the fruit looks like, it belongs in your stomach!

Alrighty then. Fruit tends to imitate anatomy often. Have a great day David. :)

I tend not to eat things that "shouldn't be there" lol

Great color on that shot, David. The ones we get down here are darker in color, almost a bluish red or dark purple. Those look so yummy.

I tagged you for a fun thing that San tagged me for. Come over to my place and check it out.

Peace!

it looks either like a bird's head poking out or like the plum is wagging a finger at you saying 'don't take my picture!'

Quite odd. I've never seen a plum like this before!

I would love to come down and bring my bowl for you to repair! What a great idea. I would really like to know how you landed on my site - please write back and let me know. It fascinates me how we connect.

It would be, I'm afraid, impossible to comment on all the posts I enjoyed. That is without going beyond the front page.

You do great work.

I don't know if you have space remaining for additional link exchanges. If you're so inclined, let me know.

Hopefully at least one of those links you have is a member of Blog Village - would be great to have you do our upcoming Blog Carnival.

---(-)-> How about touching base with me, email link in profile, I'd like to run something by you. <-(-)---

Love these photos David! Sorry I haven't been around in a while but it sure is nice to see summer fruits as we head into winter. We are all squashed out already =)

Mmmm I can imagine exactly how they taste and now am craving a juicy plum. :) YES I SAID PLUM and not what you are trying to make me think it resembles. LOL.

Are the bright red just as juicy and sweet as the darker purple that I'm used to here in the Midwest of the US?

Thanks for stopping by the blog.

Now, that's interesting. Great photos--colors and sunshine work together quite well.

Looks like some quaint little bird...and lovely to see in the midst of our cold Kansas temps.

Oh dear. Your plum should meet my carrot. They'd have a lovely time together..
