Bearing Up Remarkably Well

Talking Up An Unusual Achievement

Japanese scientists have developed a robotic talking teddy bear - placed on the car dashboard - to help drivers find their way through traffic. The bear has a moving neck and arms so it can also point confused drivers in the right direction. It has even been programmed to say "You haven't been drinking, have you?" if it detects alcohol on a driver's breath.

FOOTNOTE: Ted reckoning.

I'm afraid that it would go the way of all 'much loved' bears - arms ripped off and mouth sewn up within a few days (if not hours) of being in my car!!

I couldn't bear it!

That's a little freaky.

My boys would totally die of fright...or laughter, not sure which.

Great, now there would someone to tell me where to go and how to get there in my car who isn't a relative.

Positive note is he wouldn't point out all the drive thrus.

I guess it beats a pink elephant sitting in the passenger seat!

That's exactly what I need...to be seen driving alone and talking to a stuffed bear on my dashboard. Any way to perch it on my shoulder as well?? AnnieH

Sounds like something out of a Stephen King novel. (Shudder)

You'd just want to rip it's arms off wouldn't you?
