Two giraffes were racing side-by-side,
Neck-to-neck and stride-to-stride,
Which one will the winner be?
The one who ducks at the Baobab Tree.
I can't do better than Quilly.
But I do hope there are some longneck bottles of beer at the finish line.
Now that is truly impressive David!
Two giraffes raced in Rome.
A rhino watched the clock.
The ending though was 'hippodrome'
Which hacked the rhino off.
Giraffes can race
At terrific pace
I've seen them on the tele.
They can run so fast
But it cannot last
Or their legs would turn to jelly!
A Disgruntled Sloth Observes The Race
I wish giraffes were short and plump
Lazy sods, inclined to
slump
Loud and clear, I must cry it:
“I would fleetly cease to
diet!”

Dave, I was going to write a little poem in response to your poem of the day, but then I thought, Nah, better not stick my neck out...:)
I'm jealous everyone else is much more talented than me!
=) Bella
If giraffes did race
At a galloping pace
It would end up in a sprawl!
As their gangly legs would entangle
Definitely causing them to fall!
I like that one David! :)
that reminds me of one of my daughters favorite books "Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees.
