Show Me A Sign

Always Keep It Symbol

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

I ducked in here the other day to get my watchstrap fixed. As always, I had my camera with me. So while the repair was being carried out, I went out the front to shoot the bright combination of colours and symbols. My interpretation of the sign? Always be on time, never behave like a heel and always look for the key to life. Whaddya reckon?

My thoughts...
Forget time and social beauty. The key to living is living with your heart (signified by the red)

Brilliant! Now why can't I ever remember to take my camera with me?

Maybe it stands for:

Watch Women Key your car?

Great pictures!

OK, this is what it says to me:

There's just enough time to dress up nicely and slip out of the front door before anyone notices.

Very Cinderella :)

Wonderful primary colours! Very eye catching - which is the idea for a shop I guess.

Love your description. Great shot again.

That Daryl - she's way off track. Clearly it's a launderette.

I'm with Daryl, although I like your interpretation just as well.
Love the contrast of the black on the primary colors. Very nice!

Time and hard work (wearing out the leather) are the keys to a successful life.

I always love these accidental photo ops!

Great interpretation! Fun game to play.

BTW, what are your requirements for post of the day? I'm thinking I should start typing deep thoughts or being more witty...which works best? :o)

Watch out for your shoes and keep them under lock and key!

I am glad I came back. I saw this last night when I was still fighting my computer problems and couldn't comment. I like everyone's readings of the signs.

See-- now I thought it meant- the key to great shoes is spending lots of time shopping.

The time is now -- follow in someone's foot steps - you hold the key to your future.

Keep it symbol. What a delightful title.

Words (and symbols) to live by. Love the enigmatic feel of this image. Yes, it does invite interpretation, and yours makes a lot of sense, as does Daryl's, which is so NYC and bottom-line.

If something more zenlike hits me later today, I will return...

It's time to either take a walk or move in.

Nice capture of a simple -- but potentially provocative -- sign.

I think it means that 'Watching your Step is Key".

Perhaps there is a trick to getting in and out of this store without stumbling?

Tee hee!
