This reminds me a bit of Japan...... but they throw their matresses over their balconies to air. Everyday, come rain or shine.

Odd how some pictures strike a chord...for some reason I loved this photograph...did I live in a place like that in another life? Can you imagine what it must be like to live in such close proximity to your neighbour?

A usual sight here. In SG with limited space, most of us stay in housing estates and this is how we air our laundry...
