It’s Hard To Keep Track Of Them All
A German man survived being run over by an express train when drunk - after he passed out between the tracks. He collapsed on the sleepers and was so drunk the train passed over him. He only sustained minor cuts and bruises.

Speaking of keeping track of them all, A Happy Australia Day and Republic Day to you David. And Chinese New Year for good measure.
And just so you know, it's still early on 26 Jan here yet. So I'm not late, you're early.
Or something like that.
Was he wearing a track suit?
Wow that is an amazing story... How lucky was he???

I grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan that was (literally) divided by railway tracks, and every so often someone would get hit ... the most eye-popping instance was a half-ton pick-up truck which had every square inch eviscerated ... except for a one-foot invisible barrier around the driver, who drunkenly climbed through the smashed window and walked away.
** p.s. As for your novel in Muskoka, I'm imagining plenty of clear water, sheer rock faces and idle deck chairs ...
He was off the beaten track and I am trying to feel sorry for him..... but to be as drunk as a skunk..... well....!
I hope he didnt split a rail
Don't drink and drive; however,
when taking the train,
you better be drunk.
I just started a new travel channel on my website www.babyboomreview.com
any chance we can snag some of your choice travel pieces--and give your site a plug as we do?
Not that it needs it--very nicely done.
Thanks
Larry
