Bonjour, This Is Your Parking Meter Speaking
You might be shopping when you receive a text message on your cellphone – from your parking meter, telling you that you have five minutes left before you are slapped with a hefty fine. About 60 French councils have installed a Technolia system that alerts drivers – and police.
FOOTNOTE: Fine outlook.

ARGH! Thank goodness I don't drive or park anything other than seat on chair before computer screen.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, seems to much into your "personal business".
I'm not sure technical progress is always a good thing.
Then it will be a race between owner and police to see who gets there first.
Hi David,
I think this is a genius idea!
How many times have people been shopping with their car on a meter and upon returning found a parking ticket because the time went over!
It's happened to me a few times and this idea is wonderful progress!!
Thought it sounded too good to be true - it was that last bit that soured it. Think I'd rather take my chances, wouldn't you?
