Monty Python Wins Another Popularity Contest

"Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" from Monty Python has been named the top alternative funeral song. The song got a fifth of the vote and beat off competition from The Jam's "Going Underground" and The Animals' "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place".

FOOTNOTE: Way to go.

I have never been to a Funeral where they played music.

I'd possibly go with "School's Out" by Alice Cooper.

I wonder if I could get my family to agree to alternative music...

It's a great song (even if I prefer the Galaxy song) but a rather strange choice for a funeral dirge.

Wow, Queen-size funny bone: almost ALL the funerals I've gone to have had music, and I've been to a lot of funerals, mostly in churches. None of them, though, have had the Python song. BTW, since they've made their stuff available on YouTube, there's been an extraordinary increase in the sales of Python merchandise.

Actually my favorite funeral song is the Rolling Stones' You Can't Always Get what You Want from the movie The Big Chill.

HYSTERICAL! The word verification, I swear, is everoust; how appropriate!
