Post Of The Day

Today's joint winners are Braja with Trainspotting and The Green Grass Grows All Around with Ouch! Thorns. The other top contenders were Random Lunacy with Thanks, They’re Not Mine; Merisi with Red; Jennifer Harvey with Lost; In The Gutter with Lesson In Patience; In My Dreams I Can Talk with What Is That Sound?; Woman In A Window with Bookends; Jazz with What If? and A Little Off-Kilter with Tonight You Pray With The Fishes.

Thank you for the hundreds of emails, comments and expressions of concern for Melbourne. I have tried to reply personally to each of you, but I am swamped by sheer numbers. From the bottom of my heart, thank you - and please pray for this city.

I was going to write that you beat me today, my coffee's not ready yet, when I spotted my name. Oh, thank you, it's so interesting, I never would have thought that this particular post would be picked by you. I shall have to see and think if there is a lesson to be learned.

Jazz is best today, but your own post of the silent nature is better

What is happening is atrocious and heartbreaking. These arsonists are culpable and should be charged with murder - not manslaughter if they are ever caught. The pathology of arsonists is that they in general go on to become murderers - some serial killers - so their intent is not to start a fire but to commit murder.

What is happening to your country is awful and to see the people being interviewed who have lost their homes is heartbreaking. It must be awful for your to report the aftermath but your reports are staggering real and give a real first hand account of the horrors of this tragedy. Bon chance Australia and sympathy from across the world.

That should say staggeringly real!

My thoughts are with everyone that has been affected by these terrible fires...to think someone set them on purpose is just incomprehensible!!

thank you for visiting my random little world.. and just to echo the sentiments of your viewers... God be with you all in this time of sorrow and pain. It is such a shame, and completely senseless.

i'm a new fan :)

My heart goes out to you and everyone in that area. I've finally caught up on some of the news coverage, and it's just heartbreaking and so horrifying. You and your family and everyone touched by this tragedy remain in my thoughts.

Thank you, David - I see I'm in some great company here.

Trainspotting is hilarious. Another great blog to see. The others are all good too of course.
Thanks for keeping it going David, especially at this time. Still in our thoughts.

I loved Braja's train chasing story! Unfortunately I spelled his name wrong in my comment so if he sees this he'll know I'm sorry I'm so typo-challenged. I became an instant follower. I loved the Jazz post and it was right on.

Oh holy cow. I'm a toad. I kept wondering where everyone was coming from and I was taking a sabbatical from reading or posting (catching up now going through your PODs). I'm sorry. Thank you, belatedly for the mention.
