Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

If I were Lord of Tartary, myself, and me alone
I’d have a birthday partary, and invite Bill and Joan
I’d have a clown and pony rides and Walter de la Mare
Puppet shows and mighty slides and all the fun of the fair

Thanks for explaining it to me. Sorry about my ignorance.

I don't think I totally get this one either....I think you're still thinking of the circus from the other day!!! Keeping your town and area in thoughts and prayers, realize the grief only is beginning and not concluded in one day of mourning.

LOL David, you're educating me again. Today I've learned what and where Tartary was and who Walter de la Mare is. Thank you for expanding my awareness of good poets. If Bill and Joan are Bill Wood and Joan Baez then your choices of attendees will surely make for a wonderful partary.

I found an achived video/soundtrack of Bill and Joan singing back in 1959 when I googled them.

I love de la Mare. And Bill and Joan too.
The fair, not so much, but then maybe ours are different. We have the tacky carnival stuff.
