Chicago Drinkers Get The Ride Stuff
A new taxi service in Naperville, a suburb of Chicago, doesn't come cheap, but it may be a bargain compared to the price of a drunk-driving arrest. Smith Cos. plans to launch a towing taxi service called NDUIT (No DUI Tonight) this week. It will allow intoxicated drinkers to call for a ride home in a tow truck that will also haul their cars. For an unscheduled pickup, the fee will be $85, plus $2 per mile. If someone has a hunch that they are going to overindulge, reservations are available for $65, plus the towing fee.

What a brilliant idea. (Why do I get the feeling, anyone needing this service, will be too drunk to either remember or care to use it?)
This type of service presumes people who take their car out to get drunk, are responsible citizens. Seems a bit optimistic..
Hi Carol,
Ah, but they won't be too drunk to pay!
And if they are, they'll probably get slugged a premium!
Cheers
David
