I am very impressed with the way you promote other's blogs. I am pretty much that way myself, but I try to do it one at a time. The good thing about a smaller blogroll is that you can do that effectively, and every once in awhile, I will do a post about someone on my sidebar called I like(blogger's name)because...

That sends traffic their way and also makes them feel better about what they do.

I always love the posts you elect, David. They are absolutely great!

Today my suggested honoree is from a good friends blog. She writes and submits to Grand Rounds which is a traveling blog carnival among the medical blogger community. My friend, Susan Palwick of "Rickety Contrivances of Doing Good", has a post in this issue called "Two Moments of Grace" which is excellent and worth reading, but so are some of the other posts in this carnival, like the one by Other Things Amanzi", that opened my eyes wide. While it isn't light reading, I'd like to recommend Grand Rounds to anyone interested in, dealing with, or a member of the medical community. It's eye opening and often very moving. Warning: expect to read a long time and have your hearts and minds affected.

Peace! Hope! & Cheers!

I do have a nominee. Melanie writes Monday Through Sunday, a blog about her life. The post I nominate is called "Summertime" and it combines two of her favorite things-home made ice cream and coffee, along with memories of her growing up.

David, please please please check out Woman in a Window- she writes some of the most beautiful posts. I don't know how to link in comments, so forgive me for this mess, but this is her latest post. http://womaninawindow.blogspot.

Oh my goodness, here I am taking a few minutes to try and catch up with a few blogger friends and I stumbled across this humble award. David, do you know for a second I actually thought "oh wow someone has a name like mine."

Thank you my friend.
