Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Sticks and stones may break my bones
So please don't ever try it
Experiment on android clones
And robots on a diet

but pretty close to a crime!

I can't find the Craver interview - would you please give me some "direction"?

Android clones I've yet to see
Dieting robots have evaded me.
it seems these creatures, lying low
Are scared to let their faces show.
Not good advice with stones & sticks
To break their bones, and just for kicks!

I was reading alone and quiet,
When my robot (who's on a diet)
Let out a wail that turned me quite pale.
Then crashes and clanks like colliding tanks,
Made me jump from my chair and run to the stair,
And what I saw there will frizzle your hair.
It was David McMahon armed with a frying pan.
Batting sticks and stones and a few doggy bones,
He hit my robot with each and every shot!
And then things got bad 'cuz the robot went mad.
It grabbed a tree from the grass and charged David's dumb....
David ran for his car but he didn't get far
'Cuz an android named Wrath stood right in his path.
It was dented and bruised and had been sadly misused.
David could see there was no getting free.
The android charged him as the robot moved in.
He was in a stew! Oh what could he do?
He had only one recourse -- to take pictures of course.
When the cops got to the scene where the violence had been,
They found sticks and stones and old doggy bones,
Some plastic and tin, all dented in,
one tennis shoe and a pile of goo,
And one camera looking pristine and new,
With a series of photos too bizare to be true.

Tried to join in this rhyming fest but I just can't come up with the goods today!

Great post.

Thanks, MAggie. The rhyme pattern is rotten but I sure had fun writing it.
