A Sussex octogenarian has an unusual hobby - knitting woollen breasts. Audrey Horncastle gives her woolly creations to daughter Rhona Emery, a community nurse, to help teach new mums to breastfeed. The 84-year-old has churned out more than 100 knitted breasts about three years.

Oh my! Were they A-cups or B-cups? I guess it would really suck to drop a stitch when trying to do your breast knitting!

David, you would not believe - I once worked on a team involved in this kind of work - encouraging new mums, and so on - and they all had those knitted boobs, (perhaps not all from this lady, I think there was a local Knitting Nora for local woollen boobs), on their desks...

Saw this on the local news, and they were quite huge though did not use them on babies but a doll, hilarious!

Well I'll be darn....that's a new one on me, well, not literally "on me", I have none, uh, I mean, I have no knitted breasts!!!!
That is fascinating. I am not exactly sure how they would help in the breastfeeding endeavor but it is an intriguing idea and hobby.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly how you would teach anyone anything with a woolen cover...sorry, guess I'm just not getting this one.
