Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

In rain or sleet the parakeet
Would wait by the old barn door
They shipped him off to the isle of Crete
Where he finally found a macaw

Yours:

Mine:
The parakeet sang of his love
for the beautiful Macaw,
But the macaw was in love with a dove,
who found the whole thing a boar.

In sunny crete
the Parakeet
wandered the landscape lost and alone
the Macaw was a cad
and made the parakeet sad
cause he had no fingers to phone home

Birds can fly and sometimes do
Bringing with them the bird flu
Some are red while others blue
Rain or sleet, I'd wait for you.

The old macaw was a bird that swore,
And he turned out to be hollow
He didn't like his mate a bit
Cos he really loved a swallow.

Hey guys I am back from a US vacation and look what I have here...! Almost every one has taken to writing verse, thanks to Sir David.
But I think I will not attempt any thing poetic and leave the parakeet alone.

Cheers!

For some reason, the visual of the parakeet and the macaw together is hilarious! Would their offspring be a mackeet? Or a paracaw?
