Money Is No Object

Especially When You Give It Away To Strangers

Spanish police briefly detained a drunk British man who was handing out money to strangers at the airport at Palma de Mallorca after arriving on a flight from Manchester. The man laughed constantly as he distributed the cash. He was carrying 50,000 euros in travellers' cheques and another 2,000 euros in cash.

FOOTNOTE: Cash-22 situation.

I expect he is counting the cost now & nursing a sore head & possibly dodging an irate wife!

How come I can't run across this kind of nutjob? I always seem to encounter the fire and brimstone kind.

I wonder if that's significant?

How much did he give the cops before they escorted him away?

So he was briefly detained because of the public drunkenness, not because he was passing out money. Too bad I wasn't on that same flight.

These tidbits, I love to read. Thank you!
I wouldn't mind meeting this man when he is feeling this giddy . . .

One wonders why he would do such a thing.

It's my wish that some day I get caught into the way of such a "Cash 22" situation.

Can't think why I cant be near such people.

We have room for one more crazy do-gooder here in the flatlands. Send him over.

The Spanish police refused to help my friend who was mugged and left with a broken palate. Now I know why, they were too busy persecuting kindly acts.

If they had left this guy to sober up later, it may have gone a long way towards helping him to cure his drinking problem!

Perhaps I'm cynical but I'm seeing a Candid Camera-type show behind this.
