Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

In the bracing cold of an Outback winter
The teacher, Miss Jessie, sat on a splinter
But worse was to come when she saddled her horse
She signalled her agony to us using Morse

Up here, things are different,
as it is our summer,
Driving our Honda,
instead of a Hummer,
Fireflies flitting about,
above the bogs,
While distant friends
join thru our blogs.

LMAO oh that's a classic David. Sorry I've been absent, but took a blog sabbatical due to family health concerns back home and then a vacation. But I'm back now :-)

ROFL, David! Poor girl! I wince at the thought of her horse changing its pace from a walk to a trot.

Cheers!

Haha..good one David. Been a while since I've been here.

Here's my version:
In the bracing heat of a dusty desert summer
Without provocation Jessie felt like a bummer
Worse was to come when she saddled her Arabian horse
For far away in the desert it threw Jessie down with repulsive force
