I Went Out On A Limb For This Shot
Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON
There aren't many trees in Melbourne that are bare of leaves now. We're in the middle of spring, remember. So when I saw this tree, I had to photograph it and I walked around for a while to find the best angle to get this office building into the frame. As you can see from the reflection in the bottom right-hand quadrant, the trees on the opposite side of the road are covered in leaves.

I wish you wouldn't make reference to Spring - it makes me feel envious.
I look out of the window and see a dull grey London sky, we had no summer this year. Now all we have to look forward to is another 5 months of cold and rain, with perhaps three days of slushy snow.
Though we do have what promises to be a picturesque Autumn.
I like how you captured the reflection of the tree in the windows and also show the bare tree in the photo. I enjoy all the seasons, but fall and winter have to be two of my favorite ones.
It seems like you ALWAYS capture the best angle...great photo!

nice reflection of trees on the window
I was trying to figure out how you got an empty tree to reflect with leaves!;)
spring there?...that's right, cause everything here is going to sleep, or at least trying to. we're back now. getting dsl in the country is like well getting the wrong modem over and over and.....well nevermind. it's good to be back.

That's a great shot, David - I love the title!
This must be one of the leafiest days of the year, Earth-wide. You guys down under have most of your leaves out, and we up on top (ha!) haven't lost most of ours, either.
Wonderful capture David and many thanks for your comment in my post. I am leaving on 17th and will continue posting from India.
Cheers.
Middle of Spring? Isn't the world strange?
It's so bizarre (and neat in a way) to think about it being spring there when it's Fall here. I look forward to reading along with your blog and hope you put other entries in about the weather that I can live vicariously through!
