A Journey Down Memory Lane
Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON
On this occasion, someone else drove the vintage Chevy to the levee. All I did was photograph it. And no, I didn't see Don McLean. Nor did I see any good old boys drinking whiskey and rye. But this'll be the day that I try.

David,
if you drink enough whiskey and rye, you'll either see "anything you want to", or you'll end up blind and see nothin'!
Come to think of it, I don't usually associate a Chevy with such a fancy hood emblem.....
My favourite song!!! Was it because I had finished school and was heading for the big bad world at the time.
Great catching up with you - you are so prolific and so interesting as usual.
Took me a moment to get the clever pun, and then I smiled and laughed.
After reading your American Pie post that great old tune is playing in my mind.
Nice shot David, by the way I have a tree stump posted, not the ones I was talking about, but one with fungi growing on it.
I love the quote and song reference. Wonderful photo! Thanks for the visit to my site. Peace, JP/deb
Gee thanks. I wonder how long that song's gonna be replaying in my head.
...Which wouldn't be bad, except for the unfortunate hollow acoustics from a botched lobotomy. Echo, echo, echo...
Did you happen to know that Don McLean wrote "American Pie," while in a local 'watering hole' in my city? "The Tin n' Lint" by name.
Hmmmm, there's an idea for a photo op for me, hu? ,-)

Ugh...now I have that song stuck in my head! hahaha
Great shot David.
Fun song reference to go with the vintage Chevy. I am enjoying your blog a lot.
I love how the photo is JUST off center enough to give it a different perspective.

Don
...Yeah: 'peace' I know that sounds sarcastic coming from an American. I didn't vote for the bastard.....
Nice photograph David... very suitable for the song lyric :-) Clever! *smile*
