Popper Spray

After The Bald Is Over

A balding 49-year-old Englishman was asked for proof of his age when he bought a bag of party poppers at Tesco. Staff told postman Maurice Harris he had to prove he was over 18 as the £1.99 bag of 50 poppers were classed as explosives.

And I bet having to show proof that he was over 18 years of age made his day!

Methinks Tesco staff had tongue in cheek - which makes a change from foot in mouth.

As I have no clue what party poppers are, and the only poppers I know off (not by experience I hasten to add) are the druggy-ones (the opposite of the downers I believe), I am just amazed that they sell them at Tesco's. And they say Dutch drugslaws are to lenient :-O

Maybe the popper manufacturers need to add a warning: These are not to be swallowed or lit?

I take it as a compliment when I'm asked to prove I qualify for the senior citizen discount!
