Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Pity the plight of Old Mother Hubbard
Whose 300 gowns wouldn’t fit in her cupboard
There was Gucci, Armani, St Laurent and Prada
Some hung in the shed and some in the larder

Hmmmm....the picture in my mind of Old Mother Hubbard wouldn't fit in a Gucci gown or be able to walk in Prada but hey, she's probably been on a strict diet!

Hahaha! This one was an absolute classic!
Now I want to hear about "the old woman who lived in the Manola Blahnik shoe".... :D

Poor Little Boy Blue
had no such dilemma;
he sported no costumes
fit for a Duena,
His blue suit was
actually all that he owned,
because, like his plumb,
he was too often stoned.

Sorry I don't know how to add the correct accent over the 'n' in Duena.

Little Jack Horner
has lodged a complaint,
for Litlle Boy Blue
he most certaily aint.
This daft Old Grey Mare
laughed at Old Mother Hubbard,
but now must admit
with confusion she's covered...

'cause she mixed up Nursery Rhymes
