Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

"Prepare to meet your maker," yelled the butcher to the baker
As they wrestled in the street, beside the undertaker
I’m baffled by what started it, the brawl that brought such woe
I think it was simply sparked by which trader made more dough

This IS one of your best David and really special to me as I have a new bread machine coming Wednesday and I intend to become a baking fool!

Now this is not just good, it's perfectly well done with that lovely twist of humor that comes shining through. Yes, your best by far!

What caused them both to flail
The baker said he was dumb
The butcher placed on the scale
First the meat and then his thumb

The fighting butcher and angry baker
are both out earned by the quiet undertaker
who is in cahoots with the candlestick maker.
