Forget Thumb Drives. Try A Finger Drive Instead
A Finnish computer programmer who lost a finger in a motorcycle accident had it replaced with a USB drive. Jerry Jalava built a special prosthetic finger which contains computer storage for photos, movies and other useful files. He embedded a USB key in a traditional prosthetic finger, giving him the world's only 2GB finger.

Now that's a clever idea. Talk about being one with the machine!
He should store his medical records on that drive, how useful would that be!
Hi David,
I read about this earlier in the week... weird, just weird...
He needs to unplug, unwind and get out in the fresh natural air!
Gives new meaning to the advertising jingle,"Plug it in, plug it in..."
No way! That's crazy cool! :)
A true cyborg then. Hum, interesting.
That's amazing! Maybe we could all have an extra finger fitted for some of the benefits that he has.
Absolutely amazing! I'm flabbergasted!
Love it!! Now if he installs a tiny computer in his sinus cavity...
I'm waiting for the day we can download songs right into our brains.
Probably the most useful finger he's got. :)
Did windows operating system recognise the 'new device'?
Now THAT's news you can USE. Literally.
I saw this! Only the second time I saw a weird news item on the news website before reading it here...
necessity is the mother of invention. What smart idea.
Reminds me of a pet's microchip!
Hope all is well with you Dav :)
I think it was a brilliant idea.
Hi David,
I read about it in today's news paper barely 2 hours back. There is a picture of his (Mr Lava's) USB Finger too..!
He must be having to remove it from his hand and insert it into his laptop every time he wants to view photos or watch movies...!
Oh! to what lengths people go to be different.
PS: The Finnish geek's name is Jerry Jalava, and not Mr Lava. My mistake.
A true bionic man!
