Baby Boom Was Inconceivable

Snow And Steady Wins The Race

Nine months after back-to-back blizzards in Denver, Colorado brought life to a standstill, doctors and hospitals are seeing one more piece of fallout - lots of babies. One hospital has even printed up blizzard-baby T-shirts for newborns. Blizzards hit Denver on December 21 and 29, and snow covered the ground for 61 days.

A wide birth....how long does it take you to come up with those? or does it just come naturally?

I guess that's another way to stay warm during a blizzard.

"Fallout?" I've witnessed a few births, and believe me, not one baby has ever fallen out.

People will tend to find a way to amuse themselves. Love it.

Ah, out of adversity a little good always comes, eh?

"My parents took advantage of the snowstorm-induced blackout, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!"

how's that for a message?

Happy WW!

David I just wanted to say you have been posting some great photos. My favorites are this one, the elms (fantastic especially w/the conditions), and the garden center.

Keep going, you are an inspiration and a true treasure!

What the hail? Sounds like there will be an avalanche of babies coming down the road...But this is a slippery slope to more babies...

and so on...

Speaking of races---I saw footage on the news tonight of a kangaroo on a racing-circuit track, during the race. Don't remember where in Australia it took place, but I DO remember the first thing that popped into my mind:

"How much do ya' want to bet that's our spur-of-the-moment-hero, David McMahon, that's behind that camera?"

And the 'roo escaped without a scratch! A few of the "paying-participants" in the race weren't quite as fortunate with their machines, though...!

Better quit fartin'-around on here, and get that novel turned in---you've got just a "hair" over 3 weeks, you know.....!

And I thought I had the witty one-liners - "Inconceivable" and "Baby Boom"...Unreal...! Very witty and clever.
