Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Today’s challenge is to try and write the shortest possible four-line poem. Would you like to try? Pass on the challenge to other bloggers - and please let me know how you fare!

Four lines? I know one that is only two lines and really short, but has a very long title. It isn't original, though:

Lines on the antiquity of fleas

Adam
Had 'em.

I'll have to think about four lines.

Greetings from Texas! Thanks for stopping by my blog today...I am not sure if you were serious about me being a "wannabe" cowgirl. I don't think you meant to insult me. Just to let you know, I grew up on a ranch and have rodeoed my entire life. I was horseback before I could walk and grew up working cattle. In Texas, a "wannabe" defines someone who tries to dress the part and knows nothing about being a REAL cowboy/cowgirl. Another word for it is "drugstore cowboy"...most "wannabes" have never even set foot on a ranch, much less ever rode a horse.

I look forward to reading your blog and please feel free to come back anytime and read mine as well! It is great having someone in Australia read it!

Have an amazing weekend!

I wouldn't even dare try to write a poem. I just stopped by to see how clever and creative everyone else was.

They did not disappoint. Thanks, eh!

I have a magnetic poem (written in 2004) lined up for a June posting:

No Snow
To Know
Like The
Rich See

Beleieve it or not I'm referring to the fact we don't have any snow in June, but the rich go away to places like Oz to go skiing!

PS Just posted May's magnetic poem (another 4 liner) with a link back to your challenge for anyone reading mine who'd like to have a go.
