So, Is This Where J-Low Hangs Out, Too?
Low-flying planes? Mate, I’m well over six foot – so does this sign mean I have more case to worry than most other tourists?
This shot was taken though the window of a fast-moving SUV in Alaska last year. We had just crossed the border at Poker Creek as we traversed the Top Of The World Highway. We were still a few miles from the little town of Chicken when I spotted this sign.
Okay, so it’s not the sharpest image I shot that day, but it’s certainly one that brought a smile to my face.
Visit TNChick's Photo Hunt. Today's theme: "Low''.

There needs to be another sign underneath:
"DUCK!"
braja - ducks are not considered aircraft...lol.
i just hope those are VERY TALL grasses......
I would crawl if I were you! Just to be safe you understand!
Interesting name for a town, Chicken. I agree with Maggie May, you sound too tall to be out and about in this area.
Perhaps it means: Beware of low-flying ducks and other flying objects??
Love the sign... and even better - a town called Chicken? That's too funny to be true... nearly! ;-)
We have a lot of these signs out in the country here. They caution people to watch out for the crop dusters that fly over the rice fields. Brought a smile to my face, too.
Loved the post and those first two comments between Braja and Brian were a hilarious follow-up.
dats an interesting sign.....now how low can an aircraft fly??
G'day, David! This is one of the more interesting signs I have seen! Did you spot any LFPs?
Great photo for the theme. :) I haven't picked one this week yet. tackling bigger posts.
Someone flying Solo [w]?
Keep your heads down lads and lassies ~ Eddie
We call that "car huntin'". Must check often for bugs on the lens!!
There aren't many places you'd see a sign like that, but Top of the World highway would be the most likely. Hope you didn't have any close encounters of the low-flying kind.
Anyone over 6 ft. tall has to bend their torso when they walk in the grass.
I love funny signs - we have them everywhere I look here.
How about "Tall Weeds"? "Where's my GPS, *help*? ;-)
Love how the sign is almost buried in the grasses! For protection?
I agree with Maggie May!
I would crawl.. Just to be safe!
Have a great weekend David :)
