Dress Sense

Don’t Try The Bridal Waltz In This

A Chinese man has had a 200.8 metre-long, 100 kilogram wedding dress made for his fiancee. The groom originally planned to make the dress 2008 metres long, a tribute to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. A Guangzhou factory took three months to make the dress and the couple's garden wedding photos took five hours, because of the time taken to arrange the dress. To see the dress, go to Ananova.

FOOTNOTE: At least they won’t have to wait for a train!

That's like he's trying to make the bride into a Wedding Dragon--a spirit both revered and feared by many in all cultures.

I know your deadline is drawing near. I'm hear to wish you luck, zen, jos, karma, or blessings, or all of the above. But if you are on schedule, you won't need anything except congratulations.

It kind of makes me sad, actually...to see where the priorities are if the wedding dress was supposed to represent sports.

I wonder how many kids they are going to have to hire to carry that thing? Hope the wind doesn't get hold of it.

I was just thinking that, lots of bride's maids maybe.

They sure won't have to look for the train but they would have to wait on it -till it got all gathered up and ready to roll.

I'm with Mary - if he's this demanding (FIVE HOURS??) over the wedding pic's, what's he going to be like keeping house with? Shudder.

Senior Authorblogger,

Your regular inclusion of my blog in your Weekly Blog Awards is consistently sending visitors. So just dropped in to say thanks!

Meanwhile something ugly has happened in my city and yours childhood place. As a result my blog is no more the gentle lyrical one it used to be; it has turned into a bitter and angry one. And the traffic has hugely increased due to this sudden topicality of my blog. But its not exhilirating, its sad.
Just see this this and this to have an idea.

Sorry for a comment irrelevant to the post. But in blogger there can't be an 'About' page!

I sure would love to know how the bride truly feels about such a dress. Plus, did it enhance the bride's centrality and beauty or instead compete for the focus of attention?

Egel nest, that was funny! Sick perhaps... but funny.
