Going Dutch

There's Even Symmetry In The Garden

Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHON

I was framing these tulips in my viewfinder when it struck me that most people photograph the graceful long-stemmed Dutch flowers from side-on. So of course I had to do something different - and I was amazed at the symmetry of the view from above. The weather is warming up now, we've just had the famous Tulip Festival up in the Dandenongs and we're only a week away from switching to daylight saving.

Every time I come to your blog I think I will not see anything more gorgeous than before.

WRONG!!! These tulip photos are out of this world!

You are a master at capturing the beauty of nature!

Love the colors.....and the symmetry!

Thankyou David for visiting and your comments on my blog.
Just had a look at your great blog, and as my eye caught the tulips and the unusual shot looking inside, reminded me as iI tried that shot last april in St Ives, Cornwall, but not having a macro lens then, it came out blured, waiting for spring again.Hope you dont mind if iI link to you.

I love tulips but have not been successful in growing them here because of the climate. Our frind in Gurgaon (Delhi)had tulips she got from Europe, her garden used to win DLF competition prizes, when she was alive.
