Midas Touch

No, Bugs Bunny, It's Karats, Not Carrots

You want lingerie made from pure gold? I have news for you. It took a team of four Chinese goldsmiths four months to make gold underwear which weighs 950 grams. The owner of the Shenyang Cuihua Gold store, in Shenyang city, says it's the first of its kind in China. But don't bother lining up to buy it. "It's for demonstration, not for sale," he said. However, the store says the lingerie would be worth more than 13,000 quid, if they were for sale. To see it being modelled, go to Ananova.

FOOTNOTE: Hell, Dorado.

Lingerie spun from gold - who'd of thunk it? I'm sure that she'll attract a greedy little Leprechaun or two...

Okay, I know I'm supposed understand the metric system by now, but I'm so old school it's almost funny (and definitely frustrating)! How much is 950 grams in "real" weight? I mean, let's say I stole it... could I wear it to make a fast getaway, or would it be like wearing a suit of armour?

Seriously, I really need to know.

That might turn the tables on who is doing the gold digging, I suppose.
