Hospital Visitor Was A Real Beast

Roy Rogers would have called this a Trigger factor. Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Hawaii has reviewed its rules on pets after a man took a horse up in a lift to cheer up a sick relative. Man and beast were stopped by security guards only after reaching the third floor. The patient was allowed to see them and a hospital spokeswoman said there was a visitation policy for dogs and cats, but not for horses.

FOOTNOTE: Horse shoo.

He had good intentions didn't he? What a good horse to go and not be freaked out! I guess his owner really loved him!

I was in the hospital for an appendectomy and my Aunt snuck my infant cousin in for a visit.

I remember being impressed.

Now i find myself slightly disappointed ;)

That fellow should be ashamed of himself for horsing around in a hospital!

Glad the security guards were able to rein in the situation.

I read this one! I actually read a story before you found it! Woo hoo!

Apparently it was the patient's "favourite" horse and the patient was allowed to go out of the ward to see the horse.... only to find his inebriated friend had brought the wrong horse. It wasn't his favourite. :(
I guess it's the thought that counts.

I heard about that! It reminded me of Halloween nights in Canada, when some people would dress up like cowboys & ride horses right into the bars. Never a dull moment!
Sorry for the recent absence, again...had some back problems. Better now!

You've done it again, David. Wicked-funny footnote. Horse shoo. Brilliant.

Kudos also go out to Quilly, Jennifer and Hilary for the puns, intended.

David - I may have found another great writer at http://themrsdirtylaundry.blogspot.com/

Her story "The Day I Knew I was Different" was a terrific read. Please check her out.

Aw, that's so sweet - b.t. is right though, if Rachelle is allowed her alpacca's along for friendly visits (I wonder if she puts a nappy on them?), what's wrong with a horse?

Heard this story the other day..."You gotta wonder?"

How did they get that horse passed security?

Oh those neigh-sayers!

David, oh this is funny. The thing is that we tend to set the rules for the most common things, and there will be that one person one day that will make us laugh with their ideas, lol. Anna :) PS I tend to do that to sometimes, but I stop myself from doing because little common sense is necessary at situations like that. Wow, the man was going with good intentions after all.

Oh brother. What next? Why does all this goofy stuff happen in the states? Just asking. Bwhahahahaha. Have a great day. :)

Where do you find these stories! I'm not sure about the policy here, but I think it is only the official "visiting dogs" that are allowed into a hospital, can't imagine anyone getting away with a horse!
