Till Debt Do Us Part
Cupid he ain’t. A Chinese man has started a service to help couples to break up. The man, from Yinkou city, says his clients usually don't have the courage to break up face-to-face. He says: "I don't deal with married couples or disputes over money, or if I'm asked to lie". He charges 124.70 yuan (about $18) a case, because the pronunciation of that amount sounds like the Chinese phrase "let the love die".

There's all kinds of people trying to take your hard earned money! That reminds me of a story of a man in prison who represented himself as his own lawyer during his trial. He was suing the state for having inadequate representation for 1 million $$$.
I actually heard this on the radio today... very interesting. A fine example of free enterprise.
genius. freaking brilliant.
People never cease to amaze me with their free enterprise skillz.
Amazing. Whatever next?
That one gave me chills and fever...hope he's out of business soon.

Awww, a breakup counselor! Dirt cheap too!
Saved from splitting headache by 124.70 yuan!
And who said old-fashioned romance is dead...?
This guy sounds like Cyrano de Bergerac in reverse.
You mean other couples don't just break up the way my relationships do...the girl moves, changes her name and number and I am single again? Huh...
Where was he when I did all my break ups!? Oh I love the easy option. And the easy way to make a buck - poetically!
I would have used his services in my younger days! (I always used to do a runner - gutless wonder that I was).
I read the other day that the most popular way to break up these days is by text. :[
I think that would have to be worse than even a text though!
I can just imagine the crowds parting like the sea when this guy makes an appearance. "UNCLEAN!", "UNCLEAN!"
A bargain at 124 yuan... ;)
Matchbreaker, matchbreaker,
break up my match!
Chase off my find.
Let go my catch.
Matchbreaker, matchbreaker,
take out the hook,
and toss him back in your book.
Joy!
Brilliant! ;)

If there's a way to make a buck, someone will find it.
As a sappy American pop song says, "Breaking up is hard to do."
