Grape Expectations

Really A Case Of The Vine Intervention

Even when the light is NQR (not quite right) it's irresistible to reach for my camera. The challenge is what motivates me, because I refuse to be beaten. The trick is to make the best of adverse light conditions and make them work for you.

Mum has threatened to take a photo the huge pile of Daddy's washing creeping across the bedroom floor tomorrow, if he doesn't clear it up. She says she'll first email it to his mother, then hand it over to me for international humiliation via my blog.

Dave, I'm torn.

What it is to be Bear in the middle.

Hi BTBear,

You can always aloocate laundry duties to somebody else, but you can't allocate blogging duties to anyone else!

should we not call it the 'divine intervention'? what a beautiful picture.
when i read this blog, i was reminded of a joke which i had heard in my schooldays.our first pm jawaharlal nehru hosted a banquet in honour of lord and lady mountbatten.nehru known for his romantic and poetic skills beckoned to the lady and said" lady divine, please pass me the wine".not to be outdone, the sardarji defence minister looked at lord mountbatten at the fag end of the dinner and quipped,"hey you xxxxxxx, pass me the custard".

Hi Gopal,

Nice to hear from you. I've head lots of Nehru stories, but never that joke!

About 10 years ago I read his biography (which someone must have borrowed, because it's no longer in my study at home) and discovered his quip that he would be the ``last Englishman'' to govern India.
