The late Slim Dusty, Australian country music star, was the first performer from Down Under to top the British charts. He did it in 1958 with a hit that became the biggest-selling album in Australian history. Ironically, in a country famous for its beer-drinking ability, it was called `Pub With No Beer'. Interestingly enough, it was the `B' side to a song called `Saddle Boy', which never achieved the same status.
