Rocky Mountain Low

Mobilising Support For My Friend Bob

I've wrestled with this one for 24 hours, I really have. But I've finally reached a decision. A friend of mine in the US, a man with great life experience and a wonderful take on life, needs a little encouragement at the moment. Colorado Bob is always readable, always thought-provoking and always brings a wonderful perspective to us all. But, never having asked anyone to write a comment on my own blog, I am certainly asking you to leave one on his blog. I respect his privacy, for sure. But as he is a blogger and communicates with the world through his computer, I figure it is up to us, his audience, to reach out and be there for him when he needs a shoulder - or many shoulders - to lean on.

What the heck, it only takes a minute, doesn't it?

Thank you, Shrink,

You're so right - and Bob's such a terrific blogger.

I've just been there. David, I'm so glad we have you as a friend. I'll hold him in my prayers.

If Bob's anything like me dave, that is that when you're down, there is nothing that will get you back up again except time.

On the same token its a comfort to have a good support base and I hope that Bob knows that there are a lot of people all over this world that are thinking about him.

Hi Carol (that's the UK Carol, not the US Carol)

Thanks for that support, Shrink. Bob's a tough old cookie and I'm sure he can get by without our support - BUT it's important for anyone to know they have others thinking of them, and of their strength and of their wellbeing.

Thanks for being there for Bob. Your prayers and ours will help.

Bless ya

David

Hi Mur,

I hear you. I agree that time is the salve.

And like you, I reckon Bob knows we all care. It's a great support network and the only reason I opted to blog the story was that I figured the love and support could do him no harm.

Many thanks, mate

David

Thanks Dave ... I made myself a little clearer this morning.
I'm not really down, Just being straight a head.
I came to terms with my fate some time ago.

Bob's got an interesting website. It was fun to drop in and leave a note - I love his design, very consistent and artistic. I got more out of it than he will, but isn't that how these types of things usually are?

Lovely to hear from you, Bob,

Mate, as someone who is pretty blunt when it comes to words, I can appreciate your sentiments.

Will check your site immediately to read your update.

I know where you're at, and I appreciate how you feel. But by now you know just how many of us care - and care deeply.

Much love and many warm wishes

David

Hi Deborah,

You're right on the money with that astute observation - on every count.

Bob's site is so memorable, not just for his design and his thoughts, but also for the way he presents his life experience.

And yes, we get so much from reading coherent thoughts and writings of people like him.

Take care

David
