Crikey, Mikey, It’s McFly At The Door

Rock Stars Pay Welsh Teenager A Home Visit

A Welsh teenager with a serious heart condition is on cloud nine after British pop-rock band McFly stopped by his home for a visit. Illness forced Mikey McCormick, 14, to cancel a trip to meet the chart-toppers before a gig in Liverpool. So he was stunned when the band pulled up in a huge tour bus outside his home. They spent a large part of the afternoon talking to him and watching DVDs of their shows with him in his room. His uncle, John McCormick, said: ``They just walked in like any other visitors.''

I belive it's much better to play an active role than to give money.

Hardly a fan of McFly, but I'm doubt that a generous hospital donation would have made him feel better than chillin out with the band.

Hi Ak-Man,

Agree with you entirely.

And here's a confession - I had heard of McFly but I had to Google 'em to find out what nationality they were and what genre their music is.

Cheers, mate

David,

Thanks for looking at my blog and trying to help.

You may have misunderstood my problem, or I might have misunderstood your advice.

On the top of my blog, similar to yours, is a long rectangle that contains the title. With the template I use, that rectangle is also an image.

It's this image I'm wanting to change, and while I have found some instructions on how to change it, what I don't know is how to determine the pixel dimensions of it, so I can make sure my new image is the same size.

If you can help, I'd greatly appreciate it; again, thanks for the input you've already given.

Hi Luke,

No problem. Click on Template and go to the `Edit html' option.

Scroll down and you'll find each individual element identified, along with specific measures, colour codes, etc.

You'll find the px width here. But just remember not to actually change anything within your html code. If by accident you do make a change or delete something, just navigate away WITHOUT saving the changes!

Do let me know how this works out.

Cheers

David

Dear Hema,

No problem at all. As you can probably guess, I really enjoy sharing the benefit of my experience with other writers and bloggers.

As every other blogger on this forum will tell you, I provide honest feedback designed to help people. I am always available for advice and you can contact me here at any time.

I will keep monitoring your site, but your post with the ``scoop'' pictures today shows you are willing to put some extra work into your blog.

Post well, post often - and you will soon win the readership that you deserve.

I'd be very honoured if you did indeed post a link on your blog. Thank you for asking. I can send you the exact html code, but it cannot be posted as a comment.

To do this I would need an email address. If you want, just drop me a comment here with your email address and I'll send you the html straight away - and I'll delete your comment so that no one else can see your email address.

Look forward to hearing from you - and keep up the good work on your blog.

Cheers

David

Good on them - I always knew my girls had good taste in men! They're dragging me to see them perfom, next month.. sigh.

Hi Carol,

Get used to it - and thank your lucky stars.

Not many girls take their Mums to see men on stage.

You're honoured!
