Everything might be bigger in Texas, but the stars cannot possibly be larger than they are here in Melbourne. Here's proof! These giant blue stars were actually part of an advertising display for one of the big banks. Forgive me for showing some interest!

The biggest thing in Texas, beyond the guts of some of the residents, is the collective egos of the residents.
As a certified non-Texan, their state pride baffles me sometimes. They aren't even the biggest state. Continuous US, yeah.
Bart,
I thoroughly agree, despite my longtime U.S. residency.
I am having to try to see things a little differently now, though, since I have a daughter who appears to be putting roots down there, with a big job...she too, is trying to see the upside of TX!

Maybe you're too close to the situation.
Of course, I live right outside a city with an incredible inferiority complex problem.
Hi Bart,
That intrigues me. Familiar phrase there somewhere - ``The Ego has landed''.
I've only ever met one Texan - and she had a propah English accent.
Cheers
David
Hi Carol M,
Thanks for your viewpoint. Funny how we were talking this week about your daughter settling there.
I'm sure she'll find it a great place to live.
Love to Neil and the family

Hi Bart again,
I hear you. I think you should move to Oz.
You'd like the beaches.
