Post Of The Day

For a few days, starting today, I'm handing this segment over to you, my faithful readers. You (yes, you) can nominate any post that you think is worthy of attention. All you need to do is post a comment here with the URL or link - and tell us the name of the blogger you are nominating. The post needs to be recent, published in the last 48 hours. Yes, you can nominate more than one post. And yes, you can even nominate your own work. Righty-o, then, it's over to you ....

First nomination - a very funny poem from that wonderful blogger Maggie May. It's a poem that all parents can identify with. Read it and chuckle. It's at ....

Wow, Thank you, David! Made my day.

I would like to nominate some one who is just starting out as a blogger. Her name is Suberbia & she has a photo of her pet rabbit & her husband's not so kind remark!

I am going to have to surf my subscribed blogs and think about this one, but I do look forward to reading everyone else's suggestions.

Everyone should read FHB's touching eulogy for his dad. His dad passed away yesterday.

Ok, here is a good one over at Killer Hobbies.

Oooh David this is hard! You did this deliberately so we could find out how hard it is didn't you? I want to nominate everybody! I got it whittled down to 7. How do you do it?

I like Maggie's poem too - you have the link for that. And also Katney's Kaboodle's ABC Wednesday this week - but I'll leave that because it will have been included for Wednesday already I guess. So, here's the other 5 ...

Chicago Nature Lady's Winter's Grip
Expatmum's Self Esteem Problems? Try a 4 year old
Suldog's Birthdays
Definitely Thursday Drive's Rain Check (my favourite)
And, since I can do my own and I want the world to know what a wonderful dad I have, there's mine which is linked on your "Weekend Wandering" for 16th March.

That's it. Now please don't make me work so hard again! I prefer to be pampered by you. Thank you. :0)

(I know I don't HAVE to do these things, but really, after all the work you do it is VERY hard to be lazy!)

PS ..... Wish I knew how to link on a comment box! Can't do that yet! Must be some easy way!

Too cool. A friend of mine recently celebrated his 10th anniversary with his wife. I got to dance at their party. They sometimes write poems together over breakfast. Here's one of their latest. It is fun, whimsical , and romantic all at the same time. For those who like tea, I give you Murat11 .

I like this one over at Vent too.
And one of my long time favorite bloggers, Rick Lee, does Produce Blogging every Friday. It is always a treat.

Here's a post with a different flavor. For those of you who honor Holy Week, Susan Palwick has written a moving homily on caring for others. Here she is with A Matter of Life and Death.

Peace!

This is really hard, David. But the blogpost that struck me most yesterday (yesterday being Thursday for me) was Sister Julie's post for Holy Thursday at A Nun's Life. It's here:

I would second Mushy's opinion on Fat Hairy Bastard's posting.

Also, a lovely tribute to her father over at Crazy Cath's

I just finished reading CrazyCath's post about her camping and rock-climbing adventures with her father.

It was a lovely tribute, full of details, so I'm nominating it today.

And BTW, just how DO you create links in a comment? It doesn't work the same way you do it in the body of your blog.

Hi David - I want to nominate Rotten Correspondent with "Hard Sell" at http://rottencorrespondent.blogspot.com/

Her post today is very moving - it brought me to tears knowing her background history. Please have a look.

How to link from the comment box:
(a href="here goes the url")here goes the text(/a)

You need to substitute the regular brackets with arrow brackets, < open and close >. I had to use the regular ones in order to be able to demonstrate you how to build the link.

More about Html links here.

I would like to nominate two of my favorite bloggers, David of Authorblog, for his post Last Splash Of Dusk Colour
There’s No Such Thing As A Mundane Sunset
,
and Carol of Paris Breakfasts for
The Euro Diet.

Sorry - found another posted today. It's what life is all about - the rough and smooth. Lambing in a freezing cold spring. Not gory.
It's here at Crystal Jigsaw's

Cool. Normally I wouldn't toot my own horn, but it's not every day that you celebrate your tenth wedding anniversary, so I nominate myself:

happy tenth wedding anniversary to us

Thanks David!

How to link ...

<a href="http://the-URL-for-the-link">The Name Of The Post</a>

-----------------------------------------

<a ---and--- </a> are the 'anchor' tags that surround the URL of the post and the NAME of the post.

Oh! I agree with Nicole. You must take notice of 15 Minute Lunch. With all due respect to other humour blogs out there, this is by far my favourite humour blog. I laugh at every post. JV is a hilarious writer with a flare for great storytelling.

Boy, I read so many blogs each day and although your "post of the day" request has been in the back of my mind, even with so many great posts I've read, the one that really struck me was this one from Jeff at A Word in Edgewise.
