Do A Google Search, For Goodness Snake

Pointing out stories you may have missed. Google Inc may be famous for instant searches, but it took a bit longer to find a 3-foot python that escaped in its massive Manhattan offices. The pet of one of its employees, ``Kaiser’’ got loose over the weekend, prompting a search that ended when the snake was found on Monday night, according to company spokeswoman Ellen West.
The episode of the slippery snake was reported Monday by Valleywag.com, a techno-gossip site. In conclusion, West confirmed it was not an April Fools’ joke.

Hola, David,

Thanks so much for your kind response to my post on the Google/Blogger Help Forum. I'm actually having quite a good time spreading around the knowledge and doing what I can to help people out.

My journal is at: journal.exaggeration.org

I actually posted a bit of a rant today about Blogger and the crazy kids and their widgets... I hope it doesn't make you think that I'm not really so generous, after all. I try to keep the ranting to a minimum in my journal, and this is the first rant that I have posted in a while. I usually try to not focus too much on things that frustrate me but boy, oh boy, has Blogger been a bit frustrating lately.

In any case, thanks again for the nice comments. I work as a secretary/Office Manager for my father-in-law, so I get to spend a lot of my day just tooling around the internet, and it's been fun digging through the Blogger forums and finding people to help.

Wow! That's insane!!! And I thought a giant spider at my work was bad. A 3 foot snake is much worse.

I loved this story. I've heard for years how casual Google is to work for, with the bosses wearing T's and likely to take the whole staff out for dinner. However, when I remember the size of the constrictors I used to buy and sell (when it was legal) in Queensland, I don't think I could handle the strength of one nowadays. Thanks for your kind words, David. QuerkeyTurkey.blogspot.com

Hi Katie,

Nice to hear from you. Will definitely check you site over the four-day Easter weekend. I'm going pedal-to-the-metal at the moment!

Don't worry abiut the rant. I've seen enough of your generous spirit on the Blogger Help forum to know how much time you spend helping others.

Great to be in touch. Take care and keep up the good work helping others.

Cheers

David

Hi Buscador,

They must have been playing snakes and adders.

I'm glad it wasn't my office!

Hi Catmoves,

You sold constrictors? You never cease to amaze me!

I think you need to post those memories on your blog. What a great read it would be.

Get on with it! I can't wait to read the story ....

Keep smiling

David

Hi Katie,

Read your blog with great interest. Can I just tell you that the most riveting writing is that which is the most personal. Your blog is so honest, so searing.

Have you ever read the poetry of John Keats? If not, please do when you have time.

One hiccup - I could not post a comment on your blog. The comment link did not work and even when I right-clicked to open it in a new window, it just threw errors up.

I hope you read this here, because I have no way of contacting you on your own blog.

Keep writing - and if it helps your long-term aim, so much the better. It is very cathartic to write - and therein lies the greatest cure.

Good luck and God bless

David
