You know the feeling when you're standing there, doing an unhurried barbecue on a mild evening and you suddenly look up and see these streaks of orange across the sky? Luckily I always have my camera close by, so I was able to take this shot while ensuring that the dinner didn't get burnt last night!

Hi David,
What a beautiful sky!! And you barbecuing: I can almost smell it from here. :-D We got a dose of icy rain yesterday and last night, but dipped out on the snow thank God. It's sunny and blue sky at last. Now if it'd only warm up a bit.
We spent Tuesday afternoon running around New York city with friends from Sydney. Went to the Museum of Natural History and looked at dinosaur bits and their lovely dioramas and paintings. Wish it wasn't so crowded with screaming kids though. We had fun though, and then bought some ancient things from a Natural History shop around the corner. :-D
We'm absolutely fractured, tiredwise. Sigh. I think we put 500 miles on the car in two days. Ugh.
Have a wonderful Easter, and all the best to you and your family. We collared a leg of lamb and are planning on roasting it at Bob's mum's on Sunday. :-D
More chocolate....
Cheers
Marianne
I love this pic, excellent colour.
Have a wonderful Easter.
Deb
Hi Marianne,
Sounds like you've had your hands full. While you've been running around NYC with friends from Sydney, guess where we are - in Sydney!
Thought of you when we drove past Wangaratta this morning.
Sounds like you need to take it easy. The roast sounds like a great idea. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter.
David
Thanks Deb,
Always nice to hear from you.
Hope you have a great Easter.
Take care
David
Gorgeous!! We rarely get a sky that looks like that. It's wonderful when you can catch one.
Jenera
Hi Jenera,
That's really interesting - so many people have left comments saying the colours of the Australian sky are very unusual.
I guess I'm lucky.
Cheers. Hope Aidan had a great Easter.
David
