Trivia Pur$uit

Dwight Eisenhower, the late military leader who went on to become President of the United States, was christened with a single-syllable name for a specific reason. His mother chose it deliberately, so that people would not be able - so she thought - to shorten his Christian name. Of course, just about everyone shortened it to ``Ike''.
