Brett Lee Speaks Hindi Sentence On Aussie TV

Asha Bhosle Hits The Right Note

Hindi was spoken during Channel Nine's live telecast of the Allan Border Medal presentation ceremony, the most glittering night on the Australian cricket calendar. But it wasn't spoken by an Indian. Instead, it was fast bowler Brett Lee who showed off his new-found skills, speaking a (very short) sentence when asked on air by former Test cricketer Michael Slater how his language skills were progressing. Slater then asked if Lee would follow up his hit duet (`You're The One For Me', recorded with legendary singer Asha Bhosle) with a stint in Bollywood. There was good-natured laughter all round while Lee fielded the interrogation. But now it transpires that Bhosle wants to record a second duet with the fast bowler. According to Ninemsn.com, Bhosle told AAP, ``We have his telephone number and he said to give him a shout and he will try and catch up. Brett is a really great guy. I really had fun with him and I look forward to doing that again."

Hi David J,
It was a very sporting display by Brett Lee, who wasn't at all big-headed about the whole thing.
Cheers
