That Ain't No Gee-Gee; That's A Ram
An Alabama woman who went for a horseback ride through town at midnight and allegedly used the horse to ram a police car was charged with drug offences and driving under the influence. ``Cars were passing by having to avoid it, and almost hitting the horse,'' said police chief Brad Gregg. He said DUI charges can apply even when the ``vehicle'' has four legs instead of wheels.

Reminds of a story about sheep on the Isle of Sheppey, north Kent, England. (Where Granny lives)
There is a small bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Now, this island is pretty much well known for being shall we say, DULL, nothing to do, not may shops, no cinema etc etc.
Well the sheep got out of a field and started to walk towards the bridge, using what was then the only road off the island ( a new one opened last year) effectively cutting off the population.
But what made me laugh hardest was the police comments reported in the paper, which said that "The sheep were walking WITH PURPOSE towards the mainland"
LOL!!!! Imagine a place so boring that even the sheep try to make a escape.

Hi BTBear,
That's a great story. In fact, that's such a good story, maybe it should be told on your blog. I'm sure the bears would never have walked out!
Cheers
David
Dave, I can't blog today! Is this just me or is blogger playing up today?
When I publish a new post, it goes to the page that says "you have published sucessfully" but when I look at my blog it isn't there.
Checked the date, refreshed, and switched off PC and logged on again.... no change. Have tried publishing several times.
ALSO none of the links on my blog are working. You press the link, it opens on the same page.
This morning I experimented with a new template- changed to a new one, changed my mind and went back to the old one. Would this have done anything to upset things????
I'm getting paranoid here!!!! I put a query about it in the Help messageboard on blogger. Bit concerned that no one else has asked about the same problem.
Oh woe! What have I done?????
:@0
Hi BT Bear,
Now you've got me perplexed. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the swap to a new template and then back to your old template.
Honestly don't know the answer to this one. It's got me completely foxed, especially since your links are not working.
Post the problem on the Blogger Help group and I'll mull over it, but I think I'm completely flummoxed here.
Try posting a comment/ help message on Bonnie Calhoun's blog - she's good with tech stuff.
Keep me posted.
David
Hi BT Bear,
I think it's all good. I just went to your blog and
a) it's still your old template and
b) I can see your post of April 3, including the birthday video
You can breathe again!
David
No I can't!!!
Today's post isn't on there, even though it says it's published. And the links still don't work :^(
AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH
Wanna know somthing strange? I went into 'customize' and it still shows the template I changed to temporarily. So I went into HTML and put my old one back on in there. NOW the old one comes up under 'customize' OK. But still can't publish and no links....
Oh woe what have I done?????
Have posted query in help centre.
Have to go out now.
Will check later,
panic panic panic
Hi BT Bear,
That's not good. And the worst part is, I don't have a clue.
Keep me posted.
Yikes!
David
Hey ho!
I changed the template. Now the new post is on there and the links seem to be working.
I don't know what happened there.
I'll play around with this new one now and see if I can customize in a more Bearly fashion.
Thanks Dave!!!!!!
Hi BTBear,
Whew! That's a huge relief.
Losing that much work would have been too much to `bear'.
David
Hi BTBear,
I forgot to add - your site is a Bear necessity.
David
Akchewally, we Bears prefer "Bear Essenshols" to "Bear Necessities".
(Damn you, WALT!!! That's what you get when you leave a mouse in charge!!)
Hi BT Bear,
Reminds me of the story of the Three Mouseketeers.
