Wahay - thanks so much! You really couldn't make it up in my village, honestly. Please stop by to say hello. And here's to Dagenham Dave, one of my number one fans. He's great.

Oh David, between your POTDs and Jan's Sushi Bar, I've spit my coffee all over the keyboard this morning!

The Party Tea and Toast was hilarious; am off to visit others.

WooHoo! To make this list is any blogger's dream! To be amongst such a company of writers (including you David) is a special thrill all it's own! Thank you so much for including me (and Mac). Now off to congratulate the other lucky bloggers!

Thanks for the nomination of post of the day... a commenter on my blog found me, via you, and I had never heard of you, didn't know what she meant by POTD either, so have had to do some detective work to get to the bottom of it all.

Hello David, Thanks for giving my blog another mention! Apart from running a good Blog you are good for my ego!
I am pleased to see Maddie Grigg got POTD. Her blog is like a soap opera, but the pasty episode is a classic. I'd advise everyone to stop by and read.
Thanks again!
Dagenham Dave.

I would like to nominate a couple of postings:

The first is by Ms Jaywalker who is a lawyer living in Brussels. Her entire blog is a delight of stunning brilliance and I could nominate them all but I've chosen this one because it starts about an item of clothing and ends as a love letter to her late mother - http://belgianwaffling.blogspot.com/2009/08/break-from-our-scheduled-programming.html

The second is by Katy from Leicester and was written on the occasion of her 6 year old daughter's birthday as a letter to her - http://katyboo1.wordpress.com/2009/07/08/happy-birthday-tallulah/

Hi David! Thank you so much for mentioning my post 'ET of the Insect World'. I wouldn't have known but for Gaston Studio's comment followed by others who also commented. Now I know where I need to stop by...everyday! Thanks once again!
