Creativity Gets A Springtime Boost
So spring is well and truly here and three weeks after the end of winter, we've already had those warmer, longer days that inspire us to spend more time outdoors. The roses at Casa Authorblog will soon be in full bloom, although there have been isolated buds and blooms here and there.
But these images were shot with the permission of a Melbourne florist, just outside the shop, about ten days ago. Somehow, it seems just about everybody feels more creative as the bite of winter recedes. The displays seem bigger, more inventive and the colours seem more welcoming.
Maybe it's just my imagination. Or maybe there really is some truth to the theory that inspiration comes when surrounded by colour ....

Aahhh, beautiful flowers.
Happy birthday, i beati!!
Yes, please send me an arrangement too! It's my unbirthday.
flowers are great for any occassion, there is something about all the colors that brightens the gloomiest day.
Nice. Those displays do help our moods, don't they?
Lovely .. here we're looking a cooler temps and fall flowers
Yes......... colour can be inspiring and there is no shortage of that on your posts.
Beautiful photos.
We are having an Indian Summer (late summer weather well into our Autumn) Lovely!
Beautiful!
Beautiful flowers - I love the scent assault of a florist's shop but I also really appreciate a waft from honeysuckle and jasmine in my garden.
How lovely to be welcoming a warmer season.
How wonderful! Perhaps the only sensible thing is to live in two opposite places in the world. Here in Sweden the trees are rapidly changing colour but today it was well over 20 degrees C and I'm hoping and wishing that summer will stay a little bit longer. We're not exactly spoiled with warm weather here.
Gorgeous! and your florist has quite a knack for color! I'm happy for you that spring is on its way as we are on the slippery slope toward autumn here in Minnesota.
Cheers!
I agree about the colors being more intense in the early spring.
Absolutely delightful. I do my husband brings me roses soon!!
Such lovely colours.
I'd love to buy an arm full of those flowers. They just make the day feel happier. Thanks.
Beautiful, as we gear up for fall here. I'm always ready for the change.
The florist was wise to let such an artist photograph her flowers. These are wonderful.
As I concede to myself that autumn is just around the corner here and most of the color gone from my garden I can most certainly say that spring color and new life lend more to inspiration than the dull gray days of the winter ahead.
I almost envy those spring blossoms of which you speak; but I had my turn and now it's yours - enjoy and be inspired!
Those flowers, especially the roses, really are beautiful. Of course, I am quite partial to roses -a toss-up between the yellow and white as to which color I like the best. And -since my birthday is coming up very soon, a bouquet of either color of the roses -or any other color for that matter as I'm not THAT picky on the color -would be a great gift. Hint, hint, ya know! LOL
colour does inspire... beautiful shots!
Beautiful! We are just heading towards winter here, so I envy you the long warm days ahead! We are looking towards miserable, bone-chillingly wet and foggy, dark days.
But we do have our US holiday before that! I'm sure I'll see some warmth and colour there! :)
wow what a lovely gorgeous colorful flowers.
Heavenly. I'll take all of them!
