Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

A piece of cake it surely ain't
Using watercolours and oil paint
You'll have to sketch a lot faster, son
If you want to "draw" like Bat Masterson

Oh my, Mac and I just had a conversation about the dandy, Bat Masterson...while he makes me swoon, Mac doesnt' think that much of him...says he's to sissified to be a cowboy, lol...perhaps he's right, but do clothes make the man?

Bat Masteron limped and had a cane. He was just as apt to swing it as he was to pull his gun. In fact, that's how the name "Bat" came to be. With that piece of history in mind, I give you ...

Bat Masterson was a fighting man,
Met trouble with a cane or a gun in hand.
Swingin' or shootin'
You can bet darn tootin'
McMasterson left a man peaceful,
Or piece full.

What makes you think of watercolours
This cold & frosty day?
Photography is what you do
Wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm curious how in the heck Bat Masterson entered the Australian lexicon? Was that show on re-runs there too? Yikes!
