Marx And Sparks

Red Dragon (Karl’s Local) Is Up For Sale

An 19th-century English pub where Karl Marx used to ponder political theory over a pint could be sold to developers. Anyone with $1.3 million (690,000 quid) to spare can buy themselves a piece of history, now that The Crescent in Salford, Greater Manchester, is up for sale, according to 24dash.com. Back in Marx’s time, the 1860s pub was called The Red Dragon, appropriately enough. In 2004, the pub, famous for its ale, was named Manchester Food and Drink Festival Pub of the Year.

FOOTNOTE: That’s political pint-scoring.
