And The Levy Was High

This is probably the best example of why I always have my camera with me. This afternoon, I pulled up at an intersection on Springvale Road - and there was this sight to behold. A beat-up old Chevrolet Impala on a tow truck was about 15 metres in front of me. The Chevy's fins actually looked like they were sprouting out of the toof of the burgundy Camry in front of me. I pulled up behind the Camry, grabbed my camera case, got the lens cap off and swtched the camera on. I could see the lights were about to change at any second. No time to focus. No time to compose a frame. I just had time for one shot and the light turned green. But if I didn't have my camera with me, I would have turned green. With envy.

You have a wonderful way of seeing the world around you.
psst, I've been busy at my blog.
G'day Chewy,
Thank you for your kind words. I guess it's all around us, but we don't always notice it.
Yes, I've been looking over your shoulder. I was on your site about 24 hours ago and saw your work. Looking good, looking very good.
Certainly catches the eye - and that's what it's all about. Can see, too, that you are paying more attention to your overall ``look''. It's all good.
Cheers
David
I love the visual on this shot. Thank you for the tip about pictures on my site. I usually do put the picture right under the blog title, but I hesitated on this one since it didn't have anything to do with the subject of the post. I agree that it definitely catches the eye when it is at the top of the post. See you around!
Hi Stacy,
Glad you liked the picture. It won't win a Pulitzer, but at least it shows the benefits of having a camera with you at all times.
I'm glad you saw some merit in my suggestion about the layout of your post.
In fact, I think you've just given me the theme for my next ``Put Your Blog On The Reader Radar'' series. Stay tuned.
David
