Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Did Adam and Eve
Wear Gucci on their sleeve?
With just an apple in their larder
They knew the devil wears Prada

Wrapped in animal hide, you know,
Dressed in leather from head to toe,
Bearing no designer label,
Having last dressed what's on the table,
If Adam and Eve were here today,
What would the folks from PETA say?

I'll have to think on this one whilst I'm cleaning, but in the meantime please collect an award from me to you. Debs x

I'm not rhyming this morning, for some reason....

But I am enjoying. Thanks, David!

They chose the devil
And had their own revel.
They then needed fine clothes
And shoes & hose.

Fig leaves were all they could get
So they had to make do with that, yet
They dreamed of Gucci and Prada
And regretted that pomme in their larder!

Riches to Rags
It's a modern day curse to show your label.
A persuit which is followed by the less than stable.
To prove some point, though I'm sure not what.
Personally me? I don't give a jot.
I'd rather look for the person within.
And not at some rags destined soon for the bin!
