Man Over Bored

Bail Him Out - Again

A British sailor nicknamed Captain Calamity - after he was rescued seven times when he tried to sail round Britain - has been saved by the coastguard again. Stuart Hill, 65, was rescued in heavy seas off Shetland after his home-made boat was swamped by large waves that stalled both engines. He prompted seven rescue call-outs during the trip in the summer of 2001.

Indeed. The salty sea flows in the veins of all Brits, which is probably why I always feel sea sick!

Oh, not AGAIN?? I reckon it's time we started giving this guy a bill for all his mis-adventures. I knew several members (volunteers, I might add) of a rescue team who risked life and limb searching for idiot climbers up Ben Nevis, when I lived in Fort William. Some of these jokers took off in SANDALS and even dragged their toddlers up with them. Not all of them made it back.

This guy is a moron. I'd leave him to drown.

Not sure if your post is comforting or not. My very English hubby is out on the ocean today fishing for halibut off Prince Rupert.

Alternate Footnote:

His boat flooded when he tried to fit his square peg leg in the round hole in the boat...

Okay, I think that sailor better be heading with the hunter home to the hill!

Well he is costing us a fortune in all these rescues. Maybe he should be made to sign a contract that he will stay on land!

at what point do they make him choose between staying on land...and rescuing himself?
